Boko Haram Attack in Borno Kills Army General and Soldiers

On Wednesday night, Boko Haram executed a fresh attack in Borno State, targeting a military base in the Kaga Local Government Area, specifically near Benesheikh along the Damaturu road. This assault, linked to a faction of Boko Haram associated with the Islamic State, resulted in the deaths of multiple Nigerian soldiers, including Brigadier General O.O.

Braimah, who commanded the 29 Brigade in the area. The attack involved heavy gunfire and explosions, leading to significant panic within the camp and surrounding areas.

While the exact number of casualties has not been officially confirmed, sources indicate that several officers and soldiers were killed, with additional personnel sustaining serious injuries.
