Uba Sani's Kaduna Marks 3 Years with 12 Landmark Policies

On the occasion of Kaduna's third anniversary under Governor Uba Sani, four civil society organizations commended his administration for introducing 12 landmark policies that position Kaduna as a leader in governance innovation in Nigeria. Hadiza Moha, Director of Strategic Communications for the USB2B Movement, highlighted significant interventions in security, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

Notably, Kaduna became the first state to establish a formal Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) structure, facilitating the release of 500 captives without ransom and recovering 500,000 hectares of farmland. The state also pioneered healthcare reforms, including the establishment of a monthly hazard allowance for doctors and the integration of mental health services into primary healthcare.

Additionally, educational reforms reduced tuition fees by 30-50% across state-owned tertiary institutions, expanding access for low-income families. These initiatives reflect a comprehensive approach to human capital development and public health in Kaduna.
