Uba Sani: Kaduna Reforms Enhance Service Delivery

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State stated that reforms implemented by his administration have significantly improved service delivery in the state. During a visit from members of the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission led by Dr.

Moham Bello Shehu, he emphasized the prudent management of resources and the introduction of technological reforms that have diversified revenue sources and modernized tax administration. The governor noted that Kaduna State has made substantial progress in fiscal sustainability, healthcare delivery, and education over the past three years.

He reported an increase in internal revenue generation and a reduction in leakages due to improved transparency. Sani also mentioned that the administration has expanded healthcare infrastructure and improved access to quality education, achieving near gender parity in school enrollment.

Despite challenges, he acknowledged a decline in the number of school children, projecting 535,000 in 2023, while identifying 187,720 school children across 23 local government areas.
