Dangote Group Agrees to Recall Dismissed Refinery Workers After Peace Talks

Dangote Group has agreed to recall recently dismissed refinery workers following a peace meeting with stakeholders. The decision, announced after a two-day peace talk led by the Federal Government and PENGASSAN, aims to resolve the dispute and ease tensions in the oil and gas sector.

The agreement includes the rehiring of the workers without victimization and loss of pay. The Minister of Labour and Employment emphasized the importance of respecting workers' rights to unionize.

The resolution is expected to end the strike declared by PENGASSAN, directing members to halt gas and crude supply to Dangote Refinery. The recall process will begin to restore normalcy in the sector.
