Ex-CPC Chairman Disowns Atiku Visit Amid 2027 Election Preparations

The ex-Chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) has disowned a recent visit to former Vice President Atiku's residence, ahead of the 2027 elections. The Forum of State Chairmen of the CPC emphasized that the visit was a personal decision and does not reflect the group's stance.

Allegations surfaced that an opposition leader offered financial inducements to sway CPC members. Despite reaffirming loyalty to President Buhari, the Forum urged the party leadership to address the neglect of the CPC bloc.

Atiku, who left the PDP, is reportedly working on forming a coalition for the 2027 presidential race.
