Ex-IGP Solomon Arase Dies at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase has passed away at Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja. Arase, who served as the 18th Police IGP, also chaired the Police Service Commission.

Born in Edo State in 1956, he joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1981 after studying Political Science at Ahmadu Bello University. His death, though not officially confirmed by his family or the police force at the time of reporting, marks the loss of a distinguished law enforcement figure who had a long and impactful career within the Nigerian police system.
