Governor Receives Late Ex-IGP Solomon Arase's Remains in Edo State

The Governor of Edo State receives the remains of former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, in a touching ceremony. Arase, who passed away on August 31, 2025, was honored with a memorial service in Abuja before his remains were flown to Edo State.

The governor, alongside other dignitaries, paid their respects to the late police boss, emphasizing his distinguished service to the nation. The current IGP, Olukayode Egbetokun, highlighted Arase's contributions to the Nigeria Police Force during a solemn ceremony at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Arase, who retired in 2016, was praised for his service and commitment to the country's security.
