Faleke Secures APC Forms for Tinubu's 2027 Bid

On Tuesday, James Faleke, a lawmaker representing the Ikeja Federal Constituency, officially obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu for the upcoming 2027 presidential election. The acquisition of these forms, valued at 100 million naira, marks the formal commencement of Tinubu's re-election bid.

Faleke, who is also the founder of a support group for Tinubu, presented the forms at the APC national secretariat in Abuja. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and national assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while the governorship and state house assembly elections will take place on February 6, 2027.

The commission announced that party primaries will occur between April 23 and May 30, 2026, with presidential campaign activities starting on August 19, 2026, and governorship campaigns beginning on September 9, 2026.
