BREAKING: Federal Gov’t To Review KWAM 1 No-Fly Ban, Withdraw Criminal Complaints

The Federal Government has announced a review of the no-fly ban imposed on Fuji artist King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as KWAM 1, following an incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Minister of Aviation Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, directed the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to reduce the ban to one month and withdraw criminal complaints against the artist.

The ban was a result of KWAM 1 allegedly obstructing an aircraft's departure in a heated exchange with the flight crew. Keyamo cited the artist's public show of penitence and willingness to cooperate as factors in the decision.

Additionally, the ValueJet Captain and First Officer involved in the incident have been sanctioned, with their licenses restored after completing mandatory professional training. The government emphasized its commitment to aviation safety and security, announcing a retreat next week to retrain security personnel.
