JUST IN: Federal govt reduces Kwam 1’s flight ban

The Federal Government has announced a reduction in the flight ban imposed on music star Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as Kwam 1, by one month. This decision was made by Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, following Kwam 1's unruly behavior on a ValueJet flight.

Keyamo stated that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) will work with the music star to ensure he complies with proper airport security protocols in the future. Keyamo also confirmed that NCAA has withdrawn the criminal complaint against Kwam 1 after he publicly demonstrated remorse for his actions.

The Minister emphasized that this decision was made out of compassion, but also to send a clear message that safety and security in the aviation sector are taken seriously. The government is committed to promoting public awareness of proper conduct in Nigerian airports.
