Breaking: FG Reacts to Canadian Court’s Declaration of PDP, APC as Terrorist Organisations

The Nigerian Federal Government has strongly rejected the Canadian Federal Court's declaration of the Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as terrorist organizations. The government emphasized that the court's accusation against the entire membership of these political parties, which have produced three democratically elected presidents, is baseless and lacks credible evidence.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, urged Nigerians to refrain from making unfounded allegations against the country to seek asylum. The government stated that the judgment undermines Nigeria's democratic institutions and could incite unnecessary tension.

The ruling party, APC, also urged its supporters to disregard the viral report, while the former NNPC chief and PDP member, Olufemi Soneye, condemned the Canadian court's decision, warning that it could have far-reaching consequences.
