BREAKING: FG withdraws criminal complaint against Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmanson

The Federal Government has decided to withdraw the criminal complaint against Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmanson, for her unruly behavior on a flight. Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, made the announcement in a press statement, citing consultations with key stakeholders in the aviation sector following the incident.

Keyamo emphasized the need for all parties involved to acknowledge and share responsibility for the incident, which highlighted gaps in airport security protocols. He noted that evidence showed both the passenger and airline staff were at fault.

Following Emmanson's remorse and appeal, the complaint was withdrawn, and she will be released from Kirikiri Prisons within a week. Additionally, the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) have agreed to lift the lifetime flying ban previously imposed on Emmanson.
