Fire Breaks Out at Lagos Airport, Passengers Evacuated

On Wednesday, a fire outbreak at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos caused significant panic, prompting both passengers and airport workers to evacuate the terminal. The fire reportedly started suddenly, sending thick smoke throughout the terminal and creating confusion among travelers.

Airport officials acted quickly to control the crowd and manage the situation, with the entire terminal being covered in smoke. Fortunately, the incident occurred shortly after an Ethiopian Airlines flight had completed boarding, which helped limit the number of people inside the affected area.

Emergency response teams were deployed promptly, and firefighting efforts by the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) began to contain the flames. Security personnel cordoned off the area to guide passengers safely.
