Kano LG Chairman's Wife Hajiya Maimuna Dies in Egypt

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin publicly mourned the death of Hajiya Maimuna, the wife of Hon. Lawan Najume, the Chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, who died in Egypt. Jibrin shared his condolences on Wednesday, September 9, via his X account, expressing sympathy to the bereaved chairman and his family.

He described the loss of a loved one as "undoubtedly one of life's most painful experiences" and encouraged Najume to find solace in the memory of his wife's character and faith. Jibrin highlighted that Hajiya Maimuna led a life dedicated to worship and service to others.

He also prayed for her, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Jannatul Firdaus, while praying for the strength of the chairman and his family to bear the loss. Jibrin began his statement with the Islamic phrase "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un," commonly used in Muslim communities during mourning.
