BREAKING: Ibom Air Passenger Dragged to Court Over ‘Unruly’ Behaviour, Remanded in Prison

A passenger, identified as Comfort Emmanson, was dragged to court and remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting an airline official on an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos. The incident was disclosed by Tunde Moshood, the Special Adviser on Media Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had previously warned of taking strict enforcement action against unruly passengers. This incident comes after a similar one involving Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, who attempted to prevent a ValueJet aircraft from taking off.

Emmanson's unruly behavior reportedly started over a dispute about switching off her mobile phone. The situation escalated when she confronted the Purser upon arrival in Lagos, leading to physical assault.

Flight crew and security had to intervene to prevent further damage to the aircraft.
