BREAKING: Jonathan Sets 3 Tough Conditions to Accept PDP Presidential Ticket for 2027

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has reportedly set three tough conditions for accepting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket for the 2027 general election. Jonathan is said to want former presidential contenders Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to return to the PDP, with Atiku as the flagbearer.

Additionally, Jonathan is demanding the expulsion of Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former Rivers State governor, who led a rebel faction within the PDP in the 2023 election. Political analysts believe that meeting Jonathan's demands could strengthen the PDP's chances against the ruling Progressives Congress (APC) in the next presidential race.

However, expelling Wike may lead to political tensions, especially in Rivers State where he holds significant influence. If these conditions are met, the PDP could present a formidable challenge to the APC in the upcoming election.
