King Mitchy Commits Suicide During TikTok Livestream

Mitchel Mukoro, a popular Nigerian content creator known as King Mitchy, reportedly committed suicide by consuming sniper, a common insecticide linked to suicide attempts in Nigeria. This tragic event occurred during a TikTok livestream, following an earlier failed attempt where he allegedly ingested Hypo, a household bleach product.

A viral clip showed him locking himself in a bathroom and consuming the substance while pleading with viewers to stop him. His emotional reaction, including shouting "Jesus" upon tasting the liquid, was captured live, prompting shock and anger from online audiences who called for intervention.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) had previously warned against the open sale of sniper due to its frequent misuse in suicide cases. The incident has sparked widespread concern about mental health issues in Nigeria, with many urging individuals to seek help and go offline.

Additionally, there were criticisms regarding the glorification of such acts on social media.
