Labour Party Urges Tinubu to Prosecute Peter Obi for Treasonable Felony

The Labour Party in Nigeria has written to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to arrest, investigate, and prosecute former LP presidential candidate Peter Obi, along with activists Aisha Yesufu and Sarah Ibrahim, for alleged treasonable felony and cyberstalking. The factional Publicity Secretary of the LP, Arabambi Abayomi, emphasized the need for equal application of the law to all Nigerians, regardless of political status, to uphold democracy and public decorum.

Abayomi referenced a letter sent by Peter Obi's legal team demanding a retraction and apology for defamatory statements, highlighting the seriousness of the matter and the party's commitment to legal action to ensure justice and rule of law in the country.
