Minister Geoffrey Nnaji Resigns Over Certificate Forgery Scandal

Nigeria's Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, has resigned amidst a certificate forgery controversy. Nnaji's resignation follows allegations of submitting forged academic credentials, including from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The civil society organization, Global Gender Safety Moral Development (GGSMD), accused Nnaji of presenting fake documents. Despite Nnaji's denial and a lawsuit filed seeking his innocence, public pressure mounted, leading to his resignation.
