Minister Nnaji Resigns, Denies Guilt in Controversial Cabinet Exit

Minister of Innovation and Science Technology, Geoffrey Nnaji, clarified that his resignation from President Bola Tinubu's cabinet is not an admission of guilt but a personal choice. Nnaji, who was appointed in August 2023, submitted his resignation letter to the President, citing the need to preserve the integrity of the administration amidst allegations of certificate forgery.

He emphasized that the decision to step down was to respect the due process and maintain the sanctity of judicial proceedings. Nnaji expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve but stated that the orchestrated campaign of falsehood and politically motivated attacks led to personal distress and distraction from his duties.
