National Assembly Postpones Resumption to October 7

The National Assembly in Nigeria has postponed its resumption by two weeks, with the new date set for October 7, 2025. The Clerk of the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, announced the rescheduling, citing the need for more time before reconvening.

While committee activities will continue, plenary sessions will now commence on the revised date. The postponement was attributed to the upcoming Independence Day celebrations on October 1.

Members of the National Assembly and the general public were urged to adjust their schedules accordingly. The delay aims to accommodate the national holiday and ensure effective participation of lawmakers in legislative activities post-celebrations.
