NDC Chairman Arogundade Denies Resignation Rumors

Musa Arogundade, the chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), addressed journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, rejecting claims of his resignation and affirming his position as the legitimate head of the party's state chapter. He described the resignation reports as unfounded rumors, stating he was appointed through a proper process involving party leaders and stakeholders in May 2026.

Arogundade assured that the state executive committee was functioning smoothly and that he and fellow executives were collaborating with the party's leadership to strengthen the organization ahead of the 2027 general elections. He clarified that any resignation would follow proper procedures through the party's national leadership, not informal channels.

Additionally, Arogundade expressed confidence in the party's presidential candidate, who was ratified as the NDC's flag-bearer on May 29, 2026, urging party members to remain focused and united as the elections approach.
