Arogundade Dismisses NDC Resignation Rumors Ahead of 2027

Musa Arogundade, the Ekiti State Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has publicly dismissed rumors regarding his resignation from the party. He stated that he remains the recognized chairman, having been duly appointed by the party's leaders and stakeholders in May 2026.

During a press conference in Ado-Ekiti, Arogundade emphasized that there is no crisis within the state chapter of the NDC and that he is collaborating with other executive members to strengthen the party in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He clarified that any decision to resign would be formally communicated to the national leadership of the party, as he was inaugurated at the national secretariat during the last National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

Arogundade expressed optimism about the party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, winning the upcoming elections, urging party members to remain united and committed to achieving success at both national and state levels.
