NDC Alleges INEC Mismanagement of Anambra Candidates

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed serious concerns regarding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2027 elections. The NDC claims that INEC published the nomination forms of 10 candidates from Anambra State without the party's submission of the necessary EC9E forms, which are required for candidate nomination.

The NDC insists that it did not collect or submit these documents, making it impossible for INEC to have legitimately received them. Although the NDC attempted to submit the names of these candidates through an appeal process via the INEC portal, this submission was rejected by the Commission.

The NDC is demanding an explanation from INEC on how these candidates were published and is calling for an electronic audit trail to investigate how the candidates were entered into the Commission's system. The party described the situation as candidates being "smuggled into its portal through the backend," raising questions about the integrity of the candidate publication process ahead of the Anambra governorship election.
