Nine Senators Defect to ADC from PDP, LP, APGA

In a notable political shift, nine senators have defected from their respective parties to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The senators include Aminu Tambuwal representing Sokoto South, Enyinnaya Abaribe from Abia South, Victor Umeh of Anambra Central, Ogoshi Onawo from Nasarawa South, Ireti Kingibe representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Austin Akobundu from Abia Central, Toni Nwoye of Anambra North, Bino Yaro representing Adamawa South, and Lawal Adamu Usman from Kaduna Central.

The defectors have left the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to align with the ADC. This move reflects a growing trend of political realignment in Nigeria, with the ADC now having nine senators, while the PDP has 85, the NNPP has 8, and other parties hold smaller numbers.
