NLC and FCTA Workers Protest at Industrial Court, Demand Nyesom Wike's Removal

Workers from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) protested at the Industrial Court in Abuja, supported by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), demanding the removal of Nyesom Wike. The protest stemmed from unresolved welfare issues, including unpaid entitlements, poor working conditions, and lack of necessary tools.

The workers accused FCTA leadership of failing to honor agreements, especially regarding payments, promotions, and welfare improvements. The strike, part of a nationwide labor dispute, aims to draw attention to the neglect and unfair treatment of staff.

The NLC openly supported the protest, which is part of a total indefinite strike declared by FCTA workers. The union leaders emphasized that the strike would continue until concrete commitments were made to address their demands, warning that workers would not return to their duties without a clear timeline for implementing agreed-upon resolutions.
