Nyesom Wike Sues FCT Workers as Unions Vow to Continue Strike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has filed a lawsuit against striking workers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) vowing to sustain the ongoing strike. The lawsuit, brought before the National Industrial Court in Abuja, accuses the unions of disrupting government operations through picketing and blockades.

Despite the legal action, the unions have rejected calls to end the strike, insisting on continuing until their demands are met. The court has scheduled further hearings on the matter.
