Oluwo of Iwo Alleges Setup by Ooni of Ife with Woman: Tensions Rise Among Yoruba Monarchs

Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, accused Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, of attempting to set him up using a woman. In a video posted on Instagram, Oluwo claimed the woman was sent to entrap him and alleged that she bore a child whose paternity is disputed.

He also accused the Ooni of providing accommodation to the woman and questioned the circumstances of their alleged meeting. This accusation adds to the ongoing tensions between prominent Yoruba traditional rulers, including recent confrontations involving the Ooni of Ife and the Alaafin of Oyo.
