BREAKING: PDP Zones 2027 Presidential Ticket To Southern Nigeria

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the zoning of the 2027 presidential ticket to the southern region of Nigeria. The decision was disclosed by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, following a meeting of the party's National Executive Committee (NEC).

The decision was made after a report from the Zoning Committee, chaired by Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri. The party also decided to retain the existing National Working Committee (NWC) zoning formula for the upcoming November elective convention, recommending that the North and South retain their current NWC positions.

The NEC further resolved that since the National Chairman of the party is zoned to the North, the 2027 Presidential ticket is hereby zoned to the South. This decision sets the stage for party stakeholders in the South to begin consultations and positioning for the 2027 election.
