Peter Obi's Ally Resigns from Labour Party, Joins ADC Ahead of 2027 Polls

Morri Mony, a staunch ally of former Vice President Peter Obi, has resigned from the Labour Party due to frustration, harassment, and lack of support. Mony, who was the director of mobilization for the Obidi Movement, cited poor performance during the 2025 governorship election as a reason for his resignation.

He has joined the ADC in preparation for the 2027 polls. In a separate development, aviation expert Isaac Balami has returned to the APC, citing reasons for leaving the party before the 2023 elections.

Additionally, a religious figure, Bright Ndibunwa, known as Brightthes, has predicted a fire disaster involving Peter Obi. Ndibunwa's prophecy was shared on social media, raising concerns about the safety of the former Anambra governor.
