Rivers United Team Bus Accident: Players Injured

On Thursday, Rivers United's team bus was involved in a road accident while en route to Awka, Anambra State, for a Federation Cup Round of 16 fixture against Nasarawa United. The incident occurred along the Obiri Ikwerre Airport Road on the outskirts of Port Harcourt shortly after the team departed its camp.

According to a statement from the club, players and officials sustained minor injuries, and thankfully, there were no fatal or life-threatening injuries reported. The club emphasized that the safety and health of its players and officials remain a top priority.
