Popular Zaria Islamic Cleric Rigi-Rigi Passes Away, Funeral Prayers Scheduled

Sheikh Khalifa Usman Idri, a popular Islamic scholar in Zaria known as Rigi-Rigi, has died. His passing was confirmed on Monday morning by his son-in-law, Malama Abubakar Anyaro.

Sheikh Rigi-Rigi had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Kaduna after being referred there by the Nigerian Army hospital. The funeral prayers for the cleric were scheduled to take place on Monday afternoon at his residence in the Kusfa area of Zaria.

Sheikh Rigi-Rigi was widely known for his humorous preaching style, with his video sermons circulating extensively on social media platforms.
