Kwara Mourns as Chief Imam Sheikh Dr. Moham Bashir Solihu Laid to Rest

Kwara state mourns the death of Chief Imam Sheikh Dr. Moham Bashir Solihu, who served as the 12th Chief Imam of Ilorin for four decades.

The funeral procession took place at the Emir's Palace in Ilorin, with prominent Nigerians, including Emir Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and former Senate President Bukola Saraki, paying their respects. Sheikh Solihu, born in 1950, was recognized for his wisdom, intelligence, and dedication to promoting interfaith harmony.

He began his Quran education at Magaji Baboko Quran School and later attended Shaykh Abubakar Sakama School. In 2013, he received an honorary doctorate degree from Belaz University in the UK.
