Portable Disqualified in Boxing Rematch Against Okocha

On Friday, street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, lost his celebrity boxing rematch against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha by disqualification at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The bout, titled “Unfinished Business,” was a rematch following their controversial first encounter, which Okocha claimed was unfairly awarded to Portable.

During the match, Portable initially appeared to have the upper hand, but the contest devolved into a wrestling-like scuffle, prompting the referee to intervene. As the round concluded, Portable walked out of the ring amid chaos, despite attempts by officials to persuade him to return.

His exit led to boos from the audience, including VIP attendees. Subsequently, officials disqualified Portable, awarding victory to Okocha.

Prior to the fight, Portable expressed dissatisfaction but hoped for happiness for himself and his family. This defeat marks a significant change for Portable, who had previously won their first encounter.
