Rivers Gov Fubara Returns to Port Harcourt Amid Cheers

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara made his first public appearance in Port Harcourt after the end of the emergency rule declared by President Bola Tinubu. Fubara's return drew a large crowd of supporters at the Port Harcourt International Airport, marking the conclusion of the emergency administration.

The emergency rule was imposed due to escalating political tensions in the state, leading to Fubara's predecessor being replaced by Admiral Ibas as the administrator. Despite the resumption of legislative activities by the Rivers State House Assembly, Fubara's absence from the public eye had caused anticipation and speculation among supporters.

Minister Wike clarified that Fubara was legally obligated to resume his duties after the emergency period.
