Reinstated Governor Fubara Returns to Port Harcourt Amid Cheers

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has returned to Port Harcourt after being reinstated following the lifting of the emergency rule imposed by President Bola Tinubu. Fubara arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport to a warm welcome from supporters.

The emergency rule in Rivers State was formally lifted, allowing the State House of Assembly to resume sitting. Despite the large crowd gathered to receive him, Fubara made an appearance at the Government House alongside his deputy, Ngozi Odu.

The state had been under the administration of retired Admiral Ibas as the sole administrator during the emergency rule period.
