Breaking: Tension as PDP Govs Dare Wike Over Nov 15 Convention

The PDP Governors Forum has issued a warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and others against interfering in the party's national convention set for November 15, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo state. The governors reaffirmed their support for resolutions made at the 101st NEC meeting in July 2025, emphasizing the need to address rising insecurity and erosion of democratic values.

The forum also commended party leaders for overcoming orchestrated defections and distractions. However, tension arose as FCT Minister Nyesom Wike expressed displeasure with the Caretaker Committee constituted by the PDP National Working Committee and rejected the zoning committee led by Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri.
