Breaking: Tinubu Announces 2 Major Appointments Amid 'Renewed Hope' Pursuit

President Bola Tinubu has made two significant appointments, signaling a "renewed hope" pursuit. Chisom Obih has been appointed to the governing council of Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ebonyi state, following the death of a council member.

Additionally, Professor Ralph Akinfeleye, a renowned communication specialist, has been appointed to the governing council of Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun state. President Tinubu also named Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai as the vice chancellor of Federal University Health Sciences and Technology in Tsafe, along with other key administrative positions.

These appointments have sparked some controversy, with commentators arguing that they are lopsided and do not adhere to the federal character principle. However, the President's administration maintains that the appointments are in line with the constitution.

This move comes after the recent appointment of Rinsola Abiola as a senior special assistant.
