Tinubu Appoints 12 New Members to Investments and Securities Tribunal for Market Dispute Resolution

President Bola Tinubu has appointed 12 new members to the Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST) to strengthen the body's mandate in resolving capital market investment disputes. The appointments were made following a recommendation by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, in line with the Investments and Securities Act of 2025.

The newly appointed members, including a Chairman and other individuals, were inaugurated on Tuesday to safeguard investor rights and enhance market confidence through transparent and speedy dispute resolution. This move aims to bolster the effectiveness of the IST in addressing issues within the capital market.
