President Bola Tinubu has approved new appointments to the governing councils and management teams of several federal universities in Nigeria, filling key vacancies and reshaping leadership in higher education. Hon.

Chisom Dan Orbih, an ally of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has been appointed to the Governing Council of Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ebonyi State. Renowned communication scholar Ralph Akinfeleye will serve on the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University.

Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai, a retired Nigerian Army Colonel and medical expert, has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology in Tsafe, Zamfara State. Other appointments include Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa as Registrar and Usman Nakazalle Sanusi as Bursar.
