Tinubu Ends Rivers State Emergency, Reinstates Governor Fubara and Legislators

President Bola Tinubu has lifted the State of Emergency in Rivers State, reinstating Governor Similayi Fubara, his deputy, and legislators. The emergency rule, declared on March 18 due to political instability and security threats, appointed Vice Admiral Ibas (retd) as the sole administrator.

With normalcy restored, President Tinubu directed the return of elected officials to their positions, signaling the end of the extraordinary measures. The reinstatement aims to resume governance in Rivers State after a period of paralysis, allowing the state to move forward under the leadership of Governor Fubara and the legislative arm.
