BREAKING: Tinubu Reverses Appointment at HYPPADEC, Announces New Leadership Changes

President Bola Tinubu has reversed the appointment of Oluwa Somefun as Managing Director of the National Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC), reinstating Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa to the position. Yelwa, who previously served as Managing Director, will continue to lead critical infrastructure and community development projects.

Tinubu also approved the appointment of Opeyemi Agbaje as the new Chairman of the National Pension Commission (PenCom). The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) is facing uncertainty following reports of a major leadership overhaul, with Rotimi Pedro allegedly appointed as the new head.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the Presidency. Salihu Dembos has been reappointed as the Director-General of NTA, with top management staff currently on a citizen engagement tour.

Pedro, a lawyer and founder of Optima Sports Management International, is said to have brokered global broadcast rights for various sports events.
