Tinubu Reappoints Yelwa As N-HYPPADEC CEO

President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) for a second and final four-year tenure. The renewal appointment was approved in a statement released by the Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Segun Imohiosen.

The decision is in line with the provisions of Section 93 of the Electricity Act 2023. Tinubu expressed confidence in Yelwa's ability to build on the achievements of the Commission and encouraged him to bring greater innovation and dedication to fulfilling its mandate.

This reappointment aims to ensure continuity and progress in the Commission's work.
