Tinubu Support Group Launches 2027 Campaign in Kano

The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) officially launched its 2027 presidential re-election campaign by inaugurating its national structure and state executive committees in Kano at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata. The event attracted TSG coordinators and committee members from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, along with thousands of supporters.

TSG Director-General Dr Umar Tanko Yakasai urged the newly sworn-in officials to commence their work immediately, emphasizing the importance of grassroots campaigning to ensure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's victory in the upcoming elections. Yakasai highlighted the administration's achievements, including improvements in foreign reserves, a decrease in inflation, and an increase in gross domestic product.

He also noted the settlement of over $7 billion in outstanding loans and the establishment of the Nigerian Loan Fund (NELFUND). Yakasai expressed confidence in securing a clear victory in Kano, citing the support from Kano State Governor and the TSG's mobilization efforts, while dismissing the threats posed by other political parties in the region.
