Politicians Defect to APC at Kano's TSG Unveiling Event

On Saturday, a large political event was held at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofar Mata, Kano, where numerous politicians from various parties defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). This event marked the unveiling of the Tinubu Support Groups (TSG), aimed at campaigning for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general election.

High-profile defectors included Senator Rufai Sani Hanga, Mas’ud Eljibril Doguwa, and Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, along with other notable figures such as Ali Datti Yako, Chairman of NNPP, Badaru Umar, NDC state Deputy Chairman, and Yusuf Bello Danbatta, former Speaker of the Kano state House of Assembly. The crowd was so massive that it extended beyond the stadium to surrounding areas, including Kantin Kwari Market and IBB Way.

The APC leadership welcomed the new members, emphasizing their decision as a significant boost to the party's grassroots support and unity in preparation for the 2027 elections.
