PDP to Appeal Court Ruling Nullifying National Convention

The People Democratic Party (PDP) responded to a Federal High Court judgment that nullified its national convention held in Oyo State on November 15, 2025, led by Taminu Turaki. The court ruled to bar members of Turaki's national working committee (NWC) from parading themselves as the party's national officials.

Instead, a caretaker committee led by Moham Abdulrahman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu was recognized as the party's leadership pending a valid national convention. PDP's National Public Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, assured the public that despite the court's decision, there is no need for alarm.

The party plans to appeal the judgment.
