Celebrities Demand Action for Abducted Oyo Children

Celebrities in Nigeria, including Toke Makinwa, Paul Okoye, Ruth Kadiri, Patience Ozokwor, Mercy Eke, Tayo Sobola, and Chiwetalu Agu, have voiced their outrage on social media regarding the recent abduction of children in Oyo State. They utilized the hashtag #BringBackOurStudents to call for urgent government action to ensure the safe return of the abducted children and teachers.

The reactions followed reports of gunmen kidnapping at least 39 students and 7 teachers from two primary schools in Oyo State. The celebrities lamented the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, with Ruth Kadiri stating that it is a nightmare for every mother to have their children kidnapped.

Paul Okoye described the situation as unhappy, while Patience Ozokwor expressed sadness over the plight of the abducted children. The celebrities urged the government to take stronger actions against insecurity, emphasizing that the safety of children should be a priority.
