Brother Plucks 7-Year-Old Sister's Eyes for Rituals in Bauchi, Nigeria

In Bauchi State, a horrifying crime unfolded as a seven-year-old girl, Rukayya Muhammad, lost her eyesight when her brother, Auwalu Muhammad, reportedly removed her eyes in a ritualistic attempt to acquire wealth. The victim was rushed to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) for emergency treatment, where she regained her sight.

The suspects, including Auwalu Muhammad and five others, have been apprehended and confessed to the crime. The Bauchi State Police Command, led by CSP Ahm Moham Wakil and CP Sani Omolori Aliyu, is committed to ensuring justice is served in this heinous act.
