BUA Foods H1 2026 Results: PAT Rises 12% to ₦292bn
BUA Foods Plc filed its unaudited H1 2026 earnings results on 31 July 2026, covering the six-month period ended 30 June 2026. The filing discloses a 12% increase in Profit After Tax to ₦292.27 billion alongside a 16% decline in revenue to ₦765.12 billion.
BUA Foods Plc reported unaudited H1 2026 results showing revenue fell 16% year-on-year to ₦765.12 billion from ₦912.51 billion in H1 2025. The company attributed the decline to lower selling prices across its Sugar, Flour, and Rice segments, with Sugar down 18% to ₦327 billion, Flour down 27% to ₦276.2 billion, and Rice down 20% to ₦31.3 billion.
Despite the revenue drop, Cost of Sales fell sharply by 30% to ₦401.89 billion, driven by lower raw material costs and exchange rate stability. This produced a Gross Profit of ₦363.23 billion, up 7%, with the Gross Profit Margin expanding by 1,030 basis points to 47.5%. Total Operating Expenses declined 18% to ₦44.93 billion. Operating Profit grew 13% to ₦320.52 billion, with the Operating Profit Margin widening 1,100 basis points to 42%. Net Finance Costs dropped 38% to ₦5.64 billion. Profit After Tax reached ₦292.27 billion, up 12%, with Earnings Per Share of ₦16.24 kobo. Total equity rose 41% to ₦1.006 trillion, while Total Assets grew 20% to ₦1.671 trillion.
