Book Exposes Alleged Forgery in Buhari's Aides' Bid to Install Lawan as APC Candidate

A new book by Dr. Charles Omole exposes an alleged plot by influential aides of late President Muhammadu Buhari to forge directives and impose ex-Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the APC's consensus presidential candidate.

The book details how top security chiefs, including the Inspector General of Police and heads of security agencies, were allegedly instructed to ensure Lawan's emergence. Former IGP Usman Alkali Baba reportedly rejected the orders.

Buhari's aides deny the claims, stating that the late President did not endorse any candidate, emphasizing free choice by Nigerians.
